We manufacture Ayurvedic medicines and products and provide health consultation through its telemedicine center, clinics and website all over India. Our main focus is on Alcohol De-addiction and we are working on same since many years, our main product for the alcohol De-addiction is Navchetana Darumukti. We are deeply involved in the National Campaign of 'DARU MUKTI' (Alcohol De-addiction) program. It is our privilege to inform that our efforts to make our nation free from alcohol addiction are still spreading all over India with great success. Our Organization NAVCHETANA KENDRA was founded in 1993. Since then, we have successfully treated several individuals afflicted for drug de addiction and Alcohol de addiction. Keeping this in mind and the growing number of addiction cases, we have made an attempt, to study and analyse the best approaches used in alcohol/drug rehabilitation centres across the country, thus continuously used our learnings to develop our own unique program.
Addiction is a progressive disease and psychiatric disorder that is defined as a primary, chronic disease of brain reward, motivation, memory and related circuitry. It is characterized by the inability to control behaviour, it creates a dysfunctional emotional response, and it affects the addict's ability to quit from the substance or behaviour frequently.
There are certain controversies regarding considering addiction as disease or psychological disorder. According to the new disease model, rather than being a disease in the conventional sense, addiction is a disease of choice.
